Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we use the information that's collected from visitors to our site. If you access another organization's website through the houstonlibrary.org website, you should read that organization's privacy policy to find out about their website practices. 

  • We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. We do not use them for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. 
  • We use Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reports, which make Age, Gender, and Interest data available so we can better understand who our users are and better design our website.
  • We provide a secure connection on the library card application registration form. 
  • We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online.
  • Where necessary, we provide you an opportunity to opt-out.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
