Memory Lab - Coming Spring 2019
We are excited to be housing a Memory Lab in our research room.  The Memory Lab at HPL is based on a model pioneered by DC Public Library.  This lab provides equipment for digitizing home movies and scanning photographs and slides. It is a do-it-yourself model, meaning we provide step-by-step instructions, but you control the process from start to finish. The lab will be able to be reserved for three-hour audiovisual sessions or one-hour scanning sessions.  The formats that the lab will be able to accommodate are VHS, VHS-C, audio cassette, 3.5 in floppy, and photos, slides, and negatives.  You will be able to save your digital files on an your own personal external hard drive, USB, or cloud storage.  Check back soon for more details!
