For those who would like to offer support to the Clayton Library there are several options to choose from.
We happily accept donations of books and microfilm. The library reserves the right to make all decisions as to the use, housing, and final disposition of all gift materials. All donated materials are evaluated and a decision is made to either; add it to the collection, trade it with another library, or sell it in the book sale to raise funds. We request that you contact us at 832-393-2600 and ask to speak to one of the acquisitions librarians before bringing in any large donations. We no longer accept donations of loose paper research material.
Donations in monetary form are always appreciated. Checks can be made out to the Houston Public Library Foundation. Funds donated to the Library are used for operations including library material purchases.
Volunteer help is always needed around the library for daily activities such as shelving, staffing the Clayton House Information Desk, and for various short term projects. For more information on current volunteer projects, please visit the Clayton Library Friends webpage or call the library at 832-393-2600 and ask to speak to the volunteer coordinator.
The Clayton Library Friends
CLF or the “Friends” are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that works to help support the Clayton Library through the acquisition of materials for the collection, volunteering, and fundraising. You are invited to help support the Library by becoming a member. You can join online through their website or by printing and mailing in your membership application.
