Please join us for an introduction to genealogical research on families of Hispanic descent. Members of the Hispanic Genealogical Society of Houston will give a brief presentation on how to begin putting together the puzzle of your family history, including data collection and organization, pedigree/ascendant and descendant charts, family group sheets, and using the computer for beginning research. 

Introduction to Photoshop Elements | 11 AM - 11:30 AM

Photographs are a big part of genealogy. Learn basic techniques for improving photographs. Color correction, lighting/shadows, and fixing blemishes/cracks will all be discussed. This class is designed for beginners.

Basics of scanning photo | 11:30 AM - 12 PM

What settings do you use when scanning photos? What resolution do you use? A discussion will be held about photo scanning to get the best results.
