A Recipe for Writing Family History

Join us for a writing workshop led by guest speaker Devon Lee. Names, dates, and places on charts is not an exciting way to make an ancestor endearing to future generations. Together we'll discuss how to turn the facts into a written story that you can then share with your relatives so your ancestors are gone but not forgotten. It's time to stop researching and start writing your family history. Bring documents for one of your ancestors and we'll start writing your first story in this class. Recommended documents are copies of birth record, marriage record, pedigree chart, group sheet, and census record. If you don't have a collection of records for an ancestor, you can still learn from this class using a case study packet. Bring a laptop or tablet computer if possible.  Reservations required.  Register here, or call 832-393-2600 with any questions.
