About the Author

meet dan santatDan Santat is the author and illustrator of several children's books including the Caldecott Medal winner Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary FriendGuild of Geniuses and illustrated the popular Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot series. Santat also created the Disney Channel animated series The Replacements and works with clients such as Wall Street Journal, Esquire, Village Voice, GQ Russia, Macworld, Macy's and many others. His work has appeared at gallery shows, including the I Am 8 Bit art show.  Santat lives in California with his wife Leah and two sons.

The Summer Reading Program (SRP) is a free incentive-based program to encourage kids and teens to read and explore with many diverse free educational and fun programs.

Register! Read! Reap the Rewards!

Registration begins June 1, 2016 and continues through August 1, 2016. Please visit the Summer Reading Program page or any HPL location to sign up and receive your first prize upon registration! Read or listen to books, keep track, and then visit any HPL location to claim your prizes.

These events are free and open to the public. Events are subject to change.
