Do your reading tendencies lean toward the classics? If you enjoy reading and discussing classic literature, please join us. Call it Detective December! Did you know Edgar Allan Poe is the father of detective fiction? Fifty years before the debut of Sherlock Holmes there was Poe's C. Auguste Dupin who appeared in three short stories and dazzled readers with his intelligence and keen observational skills. Join us for a discussion of "Murders in the Rue Morgue", "The Purloined Letter" and "The Mystery of Mary Roget" and discover the inspiration for the such authors as Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie and Fyodor Dostoevsky. All titles can be found in The Stories of Edgar Allan Poe.
